Complimentary Hotel Rooms in Tampa for Katrina Victims

Two hotels in the New Tampa area have teamed up with the Red Cross to offer hotel rooms to the hardest hit victims of Katrina. The program covers up to 14 days of hotel lodging for victims from designated areas in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. The funds are being provided by FEMA and the program is being administered by the Red Cross. Victims can reserve rooms directly or simply walk into one of the two New Tampa hotels. All they need to do is to present a valid driver's license or other proof of residency from one of the designated areas (utility bill, etc.) at check in. The hotels will handle all of the paperwork. The victims can stay free of charge for up to 14 days. Victims can contact the hotels directly to check for room availability:
