Bruce B Downs Widening Project Public Workshop Nov 8th!

A Public Workshop regarding the Bruce B. Downs Widening Project has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, 2006.

The workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Paul R. Wharton High School Cafeteria. The school is located at 20150 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

The workshop will be an open house format (no formal presentation)and display boards with project information will be available for public viewing and comment. County staff and members of the design team will be present to answer any questions.

In addition, a formal written survey will be conducted during the meeting regarding several outstanding design issues, including results of a Federally-required noise barrier study, results of the pedestrian bridge location evaluation, recommendation regarding the inclusion of on-road paved shoulders, and presentation of roadway landscaping design. The public input obtained at this meeting will be used to finalize the design of the project, so public participation is strongly encouraged.
